Step 1
Turn Instant Pot to saute setting. When displays says HOT add in the beef and break it up. Add in the onions. Saute for about 5 minutes. Pour in the broth and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking.
Step 2
Layer in the following ingredients without stirring: sausage, potatoes, tomatoes, pinto beans, corn, green chilies, green beans, chili powder and cumin.
Step 3
Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the SOUP button to 4 minutes. When time is up let the pot sit for 10 minutes and then move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
Step 4
Stir well. Taste test and adjust seasoning as needed. Ladle into bowls and serve.

Heat a pan over medium high heat. Add in the beef and break it up. Add in the onions. Saute for about 5 minutes. Add to the slow cooker.
Step 6
Add in the broth, sausage, potatoes, tomatoes, pinto beans, corn, green chilies, green beans, chili powder and cumin. Stir.
Step 7
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Step 8
Stir well. Taste test and adjust seasoning as needed. Ladle into bowls and serve.
