Step 1
Turn Instant Pot to saute setting (more). When displays says HOT add in the ground beef, onions, jalapenos and taco seasoning. Break up the beef and brown for about 5 minutes.
Step 2
Pour in broth and scrape bottom of pot so that nothing is sticking. Turn off Instant Pot.
Step 3
Dump in the tomatoes on top and then scoop the refried beans onto the top. Don’t stir.
Step 4
Cover Instant Pot and secure the lid. Make sure valve is set to sealing. Set the manual/pressure cook button to 4 minutes. When time is up move valve to venting. Remove the lid.
Step 5
Stir. Sprinkle half of the cheese on top. Then add the tater tots on top in one layer.
Step 6
Use your Mealthy crisplid or Air fryer lid to crisp and cook the tots for 400 F for 10 minutes. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top and cook for another 2 minutes until melted.
Step 7
Scoop onto plates and serve.
