Mix the buttermilk, oil, sea salt, and garlic powder in a large baggie.

Set the air fryer oven to 380 degrees and air fry with rotate turned on for 50 minutes or until the chicken is a dark brown and internal temperature measures 165 degrees (measure at the meatiest part of the thigh).
Remove the chicken using the removal tool and, using hot pads or gloves, carefully remove the chicken from the spit.
