Step 1:Put the dried mixed fruit and cherries into a large bowl and pour over the hot tea and leave overnight.Step 2:The next day, preheat the oven to 180C (fan 160C, gas mark 4) and line a 900g loaf tin with baking paper. Ready made liners for loaf tins are available in larger supermarkets.Step 3:Add the remaining ingredients to the soaked fruit and tea and stir well.Step 4:Pour into the loaf tin and bake for 1 1/2 hours or until a skewer comes out clean when pushed into the middle. After an hour just check as you might want to cover with foil if browning too much.Step 5:Leave to cool in the tin and then serve sliced with butter.
