Jalapeno Popper Spread

each) cream cheese, softened

mayonnaise

Monterey Jack cheese

green chiles

jalapeno peppers

Parmesan cheese

panko bread crumbs

Sweet red and yellow pepper pieces and corn chips

In a large bowl, beat the first 5 ingredients until blended; spread into an ungreased 9-in. pie plate. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese; top with bread crumbs. Bake at 400° until lightly browned, 25-30 minutes. Serve with peppers and chips.

I use my Nutri bullet to chop fresh jalapenos before adding to cream cheese mixture.  I also substitute pepper jack cheese and use 1/2 C ranch and 1/2 mayo instead. This is our go to snack dip.  Goes well with veggies, bagel chips, naan bread and nacho chips.

Made this as written except added cooked bacon, halved recipe but totally gone. Delicious and my friends wanted leftovers to eat on bagels for breakfast.  YUMMOLA

My family loves this dip.  The panko bread crumbs add a nice crunch.  Unless I'm serving it to a crowd, I halve the recipe.

Soooo Good and so easy to make.  Took it to a small bbq and it was eatin up.  My girlfriend wants me to make it again for her birthday bbq next weekend.  Wasn’t too spicy for us. Might put some more jalapeños in it next time and use pepper jack. Also, use freshly shredded cheese so your dishes like this won’t be greasy.  Prepackaged shredded cheese adds oil.  My friend had some fried Jalapeños in a can from Trader Joe’s, (similar to Frenchs fried onions) they might be good on top for the crunch and extra heat. But the panko and parm was good though.

So creamy and had a nice flavor. I ate it with veggies and crackers.

I have made this spread a number of times and my family/friends love it.  I've made variations by adding a little fresh jalapeños, used combo of Monterey Jack and cheddar (that's what I had).  Since I love bacon wrapped jalapeños, I added crumbed bacon this time---It was an even bigger hit!

Winner winner. A must try and not just as a spread. Try adding some of this to a baked potato. Super yum . Based on my tastebuds I used all chopped green chilies. This is a super rich and creamy spread. Fantastic.  VFE

I love jalapeno poppers, so when I saw this tempting recipe I gave it a try and it is just like eating the jalapeno poppers.  Will make it again.

Made as directed and came home with an empty dish and requests for recipe.  A keeper for sure and what's more easy to prepare.  There was no grease.  Wouldn't change a thing.  Thanks for this great appetizer!

I recently made this recipe and it was delicious with the pepper strips., no one touched the crackers.  I will make it a bit more spicy the next time though, but all in all easy to fix and great to eat.

I attended a social distancing party at my friends private lake and each family brought their own snacks and drinks. I decided to make this dip for my crew and the four of us gobbled it up. I did add four slices of crumbled bacon. Also, I used the full 4 oz can of diced jalapeños instead of measuring out 1/4 cup. It was really good served with Frito scoops and orange bell pepper. I only used 1/2 of the breadcrumb/Parmesan cheese topping. I plan to make this again for my dad’s day BBQ but I’ll double it because I’ll be sharing with my parents and my siblings and their families.

Everyone thought that this tasted just like a popper! I loved that I was able to showcase my canned garden jalapeno peppers in this recipe. Easy to make with ingredients that I had on hand.

I use mixed Mexican cheese, leave off the parmesan, panko and use it in the crock pot - wonderful!!

Have made this exact recipe for many years and it's always a hit at parties.@djmcclimon ~ Did you use a good mayonnaise? Only once did I use an off brand instead of Best Foods and ended up with tons of grease on top of the dish.  Never did that again.  :)  I also think not using a good cheese will cause some grease.@Juliana190 ~ I think the mayo is a big part of the excellent flavor this dish has.  It adds to the creaminess as well.  Otherwise you would just have cream cheese with peppers and a bit of cheese.  :)

Made this for my family Christmas party.  It was so good it was gone in 1 hour. Everyone wanted the recipe. Great spread. I used thick tortilla chips.

This dip is always a hit when I bring it.  And I  have sectioned off a portion of he dish with no bread crumbs   for my gluten free friend. She loved it too. Taste just like a jalapeno popper.
