Preparation 1Soften gelatin in 1/4 cup water.2Separate eggs. Combine yolks with sugar. Slowly add scalded milk. Cook over low heat until custard coats spoon. Cool. Add vanilla.3Beat egg whites until stiff. Beat cream until stiff. Fold egg whites and cream gently into custard. Pour into shell. Sprinkle with finely grated chocolate to cover top of pie.4Chill for 4 hours or overnight.
