Step 1

Put the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt into a large basin and mix well.

Step 2

Milk, butter, and an egg should each be combined in their own bowl and whisked until smooth.

Step 3

Mix the dry ingredients until they are completely blended with the liquid components after adding them.

Step 4

On a surface dusted with flour, knead the dough until it is silky smooth and elastic, which should take around 8 minutes.

Put the dough in a basin that has been oiled, cover it with a clean dishcloth, and let it rest.

Allow it to rise until it has doubled in size, which should take around one hour.

Step 7

After punching down the dough, cut it into 12 pieces that are all the same size. Make a smooth ball out of each portion, then lay them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Allow the rolls to rise for a further half an hour while they are covered with a dish towel.Turn the oven up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 9

Coat the tops of the rolls with egg wash and sprinkle them with poppy seeds.

Bake the rolls at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes, or until they have a golden brown color.

Before serving, let the rolls sit out for a while so they may get somewhat chilly. Enjoy!
