Gather ingredients

Slice the beef as thin as possible (think of Philly Steak)

Step 3

Add all the marinade ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

Step 4

In a bowl or a food grade plastic bag, mix the beef and marinade. Refrigerate the meat for at least one hour, and up to 5 hours.

Step 5

Take out the beef one hour before cooking so the meat is at room temperature when cooking.

Step 6

Place a frying pan over medium heat. Add 1 teaspoon of cooking oil. Add sliced onion and carrots and stir fry until tender but not too soft. Take the vegetable out on a plate, cover, and set them aside.

Step 7

Wipe the frying pan clean and add 1 teaspoon of oil. Work in two batches: add marinated beef in a single layer when the pan is piping hot. Cook one side, turn, and cook the other side (do not over-mix the meat). Take the meat out on a plate and set it aside.

Step 8

Wipe the frying pan clean and add 1 teaspoon of oil. Cook the remaining beef.

Step 9

Once all the beef is cooked, return the other cooked beef, carrots, and onions to the pan along with the green onions. Toss everything together. Sprinkle sesame seeds and serve with a bowl of rice and hot sauce (optional).
