Step 2
In the electric pressure cooker, pour the olive oil and swirl to coat the bottom of the liner.
Step 3
Pour the beef broth into the liner.
Step 4
Mix the seasonings, sugar, and sweetener together.
Step 5
Add the ribs, sprinkling with the seasonings as you layer the ribs.
Step 6
Over the ribs, pour the barbecue sauce.
Step 7
Place the lid on the electric pressure cooker and set the valve to sealing. Program the electric pressure cooker to “pressure cook” or “manual” for 45 minutes. When the cooking cycle is complete, allow the electric pressure cooker to naturally release the pressure for 10 minutes before performing a quick release of the remaining pressure.
Step 8
If desired, preheat the oven to broil and prepare a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Spritz with nonstick cooking spray. Remove the ribs from the electric pressure cooker using a slotted spoon and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with additional barbecue sauce. Place under the broiler for 5 to 8 minutes or until the barbecue sauce begins to caramelize.
