Step 1

In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain off the fat.

Step 2

Add 2 tablespoons taco seasoning to the ground beef and mix well. Set aside.

Step 3

Place the lettuce in a 4-quart glass bowl.

Step 4

Top with chopped tomatoes and onions.

Step 5

Add the drained and rinsed black beans.

Step 6

Add the seasoned ground beef.

Step 7

Sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese.

Step 8

Sprinkle with half of the tortilla chips.

Step 9

In a small bowl, combine the dressing, taco sauce and taco seasoning for the special sauce. Mix well and pour over the layered salad.

Step 10

Top with additional cheese and tortilla chips.

Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.
