Step 1
Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet, rolling pin or a heavy bottomed pot. Season the chicken with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano and paprika.
Step 2
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add in the olive oil. Once hot sear the chicken for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until browned (chicken does not need to be cooked through at this point). Remove chicken breasts to a plate and keep warm.
Step 3
Back to the skillet, over medium heat, sauté the garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir in the chicken broth, lemon juice and capers. Use your spatula to scrap any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
Step 4
Add the broccoli no the skillet and then nestle the chicken breasts in between. Keep cooking until the broccolini turns a bright green and the chicken breasts reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. This should take about 10 minutes.
Step 5
Garnish the chicken with lemon wedges and a dash of crushed red pepper if desired. Enjoy!
