Step 1

Beat softened butter with sugar.

Step 2

Add eggs and mix well.

Step 3

Blend in sour cream, vanilla and zested lemon peel.

Step 4

Beat for 2 minutes. Batter may appear curdled.

Step 5

Sift and combine the flour, cornstarch, salt and baking soda.

Step 6

Pour into egg mixture. Mix just until incorporated.

Step 7

Pour into two greased and floured loaf pans.

Step 8

Bake at 350F for 30 - 35 minutes. Remove from oven.

Step 9

If you're going to glaze the loaf, poke holes in top using a toothpick. Let cool.

Step 10

Mix sugar and lemon juice in saucepan.

Step 11

Heat until boiling. Stir occasionally.

Step 12

Turn heat to low, add Rosemary and let thicken about 2 - 3 minutes.

Step 13

Add icing sugar and whisk well. Pour over top of loaf, letting the glaze settle in holes in loaf top.
