Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a cookie sheet and set aside.

In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in egg, then stir in ricotta, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just incorporated.

Step 4

Scoop two tablespoons of dough onto prepared cookie sheet, leaving two inches between each dough ball. Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until lightly golden around the edges. Cool completely before frosting.

Step 5

In a medium bowl, cream together cream cheese and yogurt until smooth. Beat in lemon juice and lemon zest. Add powdered sugar 1/2 cup at a time, stirring in until frosting is smooth.

Step 6

Spread on top of cooled cookies and enjoy!
