Step 1

Rinse and pat dry the beef tenderloin. Cut it into small, thin slices. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with chopped garlic, onions, black pepper, lemongrass, honey, cooking wine, sugar, oyster sauce, black soy sauce, sesame oil, and cooking oil. Mix well. Marinate for at least 15 minutes (or immediately grill if short on time). Preheat your grill to high heat. Grill the beef slices until nicely charred, flipping halfway through. This should only take a few minutes due to the thin slices.

Step 2

Prepare your fillings: thinly slice cucumbers and jalapenos, and chop cilantro. Prepare fermented daikons and carrots. Slice your baguette (either French or Vietnamese).

Step 3

Layer the lemongrass beef generously inside the baguette. Add jalapenos, cucumbers, fermented daikons and carrots, and cilantro to the sandwich.

Step 4

Serve immediately and enjoy!
