Step 1
Preheat the Blackstone Grill over medium high heat (approximately 450 degrees F).
Step 2
Place the frozen tater tots directly on one side of the Blackstone grill in a single layer and heat them for a couple of minutes (moving frequently) to thaw out the tater tots.
Step 3
Season the tater tots with salt.
Step 4
Place the bacon strips on the other side of the grill.
Step 5
Cook the bacon for 3-5 minutes per side (depending on the thickness of the bacon) until the bacon is cooked to the crispiness that you prefer.
Step 6
Only flip the bacon once using tongs during this cooking process. You will know that the bacon is ready to flip because the white fat on the bacon will become translucent and the pink parts of the bacon will be a reddish-brown color.
Step 7
Continue to flip and rotate the tater tots while the bacon cooks.
Step 8
Once the bacon is cooked through, remove from the grill.
Step 9
Scrape some of the bacon grease into the tater tots and gently toss them in the bacon grease for extra flavor.
Step 10
Cook the tater tots for a few more minutes in the bacon grease.
Step 11
While the tater tots are cooking, chop up the cooked bacon into bite size pieces.
Step 12
Remove the tater tots from the grill to a large platter or individual serving plates. Top with the shredded cheese immediately so the heat from the tater tots will melt the cheese.
Step 13
Mix together the sour cream, milk and ranch seasoning until well combined.
Step 14
Drizzle half of this mixture over the tater tots.
Step 15
Sprinkle the chopped bacon and diced green onions on top.
Step 16
Serve the tater tots with the remaining ranch sour cream mixture on the side. Enjoy!
