Step 1

In a large nonstick skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat.

Step 2

Add the onions and the mushrooms and cook until the mushrooms are soft and the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.

Transfer the onion-mushroom mixture to a plate.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the beef and cook, while crumbling, until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Drain the grease from the skillet.

Step 6

Sprinkle the flour over the beef and cook until the raw flour smell disappears, about 1-2 minutes.

Step 7

Pour in the beef broth and cook, stirring, until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.

Step 8

Add the onion-mushroom mixture back into the skillet.

Step 9

Gently stir in the sour cream.

Step 10

Season with the salt and the pepper.

Step 11

Let the mixture simmer until heated through, about 5 minutes.

Step 12

Serve garnished with the parsley.
