Preheat oven to 375F / 190 C / gas 5.

Season chicken with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Heat oil in a skillet and brown chicken thighs for 3-4 minutes per side. Then remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Remove excess fat from the skillet and add in the garlic and stir for 30 seconds till fragrant and add in the Italian seasoning, thyme, red peppers flakes, sun dried tomatoes and bacon.
Step 5
Mix in the broth, heavy cream and Parmesan and simmer for 5 minutes for the flavors to develop and the cream thickens.
Step 6
Add in the chicken skin-side up and transfer the skillet into the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes until the chicken cooks through (juices run clear).
