Name: Marsala Sauce

Ingredients: 3 tablespoons olive oil; 1/4 cup onion, diced; 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped; 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced; 3 tablespoons flour; 1/2 cup Marsala wine; 1 1/2 cups beef stock; Salt and pepper, to taste

Description: Drury Lane Theatre and Conference Center's Marsala Sauce.

Salt and pepper,

Add olive oil to heavy hot saucepan. Add onions, garlic, mushrooms, saute until mushrooms are tender. Add flour and cook about 1 minute then deglaze pan with Marsala wine. Add beef stock and cook until thick and flavors are blended.

I needed a mushroom sauce recipe, and I found this one, it was delicious over pasta and broccoli on the side. I didn’t charge a thing. Delish 

I added a bit of heavy cream and I used for pasta. I did calamarata (it’s a shape/pasta) and was delicious!!!!!

This sauce was horrible, I don’t know how people like it, I’ve made other recipes of chicken Marsala and this one definitely isn’t it. The recipe calls for WAY too much flour, and even then it doesn’t taste that good because all I taste is the marsala wine. 0/10

I looked at the ingredients and saw a couple of differences from what I usually use, I thought good additions.  Then I read the review that said the recipe was tasteless, hum?  I looked at the he ingredients again and the cooking instructions and wondered how on earth it could be tasteless; I had to try it.  First, it is so simple, how could anyone go wrong.  Second, it's rich and flavorful, it would go with so many dishes; great to have in your arsenal.  But honestly, what  did someone would to it to make it flavorless?  I Dunno?

Very simple and delicious.  It's also a very good base recipe to change and adapt to any way you see fit.

Extremely disappointed. Lacking in flavor .
