Export 5 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Mix almond butter, cacao powder, maple syrup, and spices together in a bowl until well blended. I like to use a wooden spoon.
Step 2
Stir in the ground flax seeds.
Step 3
Roll the mixture into small balls about 1 tbsp in size, using your hands, and place onto a baking sheet or plate. They will be a little sticky here. If your nut butter was very runny, you may need to add in a bit more ground flax seeds if they are too sticky to roll into balls.
Step 4
If desired, sprinkle the balls with a pinch of chili powder and/or black pepper.
Step 5
Freeze for at least 15 minutes or refrigerate for 1 hour to harden.
Step 6
Store in the fridge for a week, or the freezer for a month. I'll doubt they'll last that long!
