Mini Apple Crisp

apple,

all-purpose flour

brown sugar

butter

oats

cinnamon

Cream, optional

I chose this recipe because I was looking for the topping. I  spread it over a variety of frozen fruit (strawberries, peaches, pinapple, and mango) as a midnight snack - something warm and light, not TOO unhealthy, yet still hit the cravings. This worked very well!

This was very good I made two  for my family. I agree that the apples needed spice and sugar that is why I only gave it 4 stars. From now on  I always make two and add 1 Tablespoon of sugar and 1/8 tsp of cinnamon to the the apples.  Can't wait to try other fruits.

I decided to do two granny smith apples, added a tablespoon of sugar, cinnamon,  1 tablespoon of butter, and a splash of vanilla to the apples. These are not all exact measurements of course. I also added a pinch of salt to the crumble topping. Was perfect! Wasnt too sweet either!

Great recipe for one and easy to multiple ingredients for more servings.  Also perfect for an after school snack, as suggested.  I have premade them, stored in the fridge so that they are ready to bake for my teens to cook when they get home.  I also have added raisins.  You can easily tweak this recipe to suit your personal tastes.

I did enjoy the simplicity in multiplying this dish depending on the number of servings desired. I did increase the amount of cinnamon to a half teaspoon per serving.  Great standby dessert as all the ingredients are readily available.  I am looking forward to further experimentation on this brilliant concept.  Thanks Sherry!

I think this a wonderful idea!!! I'm making it now, omg I cant wait to eat it!! I'm a single mom and I don't like to waste to much, so I put the apples peels in a snack bag and put them in the freezer to use in smoothies later!!

This is a great recipe. Who doesn't love their own dessert? Although it only makes 1 serving I easily adapted it to make 4 servings for my family by quadrupling the ingredients. After slicing the apples I cut them in half to easily fit my dishes. The topping gets nice and crispy and delicious. Next time I might add some chopped pecans but this recipe really is perfect just the way it is. I used Granny Smith apples and didn't feel they needed any sugar.

I love this recipe. I added about a 1/4 tsp cinnamon, and it tasted really good. Would definitely recommended for a beginner, overall really good recipe. Does not need any extra sugar, apples are nice and soft (I used granny smith).

Great recipe for single serving. After making it once, I adjusted for my taste-used 2 cut up apples with a little cinnamon and nutmeg sprinkled in. For the topping- a little less brown sugar but more oatmeal

I don't see how baking for 35 40 minutes is considered an after-school snack...

Easy and a great way to use up a specific amount of apples. I added frozen yogurt as I enjoy hot "Crisp" with a cold topping.

Very easy! My mother and I liked to split one of these. Recommend increasing the quantity and distribution of brown sugar, but that's just our preference.

this was awesome!!!  I love how you can make as many or as few as you want!!  And the ingredients are all normal pantry items.  I actually liked this better than the big apple crisps I have cooked in the past.  Perfect little desert for my little family!  I will definitely be making this yummy mini apple crisp over and over again!!!

This is so easy just as it is.  I have low tolerance for sugar so I use only one T brown sugar.  I have tried it with pears and plums and it was equally great.  Next I'm going through all the fruits to see how they work.  I multiply it based on the number of dishes I want to make.  Everyone asks for the recipe.  Thanks so much for sharing.

I made this and it was delicious. I tripled the recipe. It looks similar to many other recipes available on taste of home. It's straight forward and tastes like apple crisp should. I will make it again!

I tasted the crumble before I put it on and realized that it hadn't called for salt. Overall, a nice base recipe to modify for what you need (I used pumpkin pie spice with the cinnamon as well as the salt).

This is the best I've had yet, and so easy to adjust the servings.

The only reason why I did not give this item 5 stars is because I think that seasoning the apples make such a difference. This was so delicious and quick! I love it!
