Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Arrange 2 cups salad on each of 7 plates; drizzle with 1 tablespoon Orange-Poppy Seed Dressing (reserve remaining dressing for another use). Top each serving with 3 walnut halves.nn


We had it for the first time mid July, when the temps were up and we wanted something light.  To be honest, this was the first time I've had a salad with so much citrus in it, I was afraid it would be overpowering, but it was so light and refreshing, we ate it twice in the same week.  I understand the convenience of pre-packaged but we used fresh grapefruit and pineapple.  This will definitely be a regular summer staple for me and I can't wait to bring it to an event, I love to introduce unexpected food combinations to others.

What a nice, bright salad! The dressing is very good and simple to make.

For the dressing I used instead:
2 parts Blood Orange Olive Oil and 1 part Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar.  I also added a bit of Feta Cheese like someone suggested.  Have a Walnut allergy so used some pecans.  I got so many compliments on this 4th of July.

Loved the salad.  Very refreshing.  I served it to my friends after a hot day of golf and they loved it.  The dressing would go with any fresh salad.  The best low cal option I've seen.

This salad was a treat for a Minnesotan in mid-February.  My husband took creative license at the grocery store, so we made a few substitutions.  Strawberries for grapefruit, almonds for walnuts, and spinach for mixed greens.  I threw in some low-fat feta &amp; avocado to make a complete lunch.  I will definately be making this salad for my family &amp; will serve at our beach picnics this summer.

Absolutely loved this salad. I would use fresh pineapple instead, the canned had an unusual flavor. I also used fresh grapefruit since I couldn't find canned. Great summer salad.

Absolutely divine for a light salad to complimenet a rich meal.  The different fruits are wonderful.  Don't go to heavy on the saldad dressing.  It doesn't need much.
