I found this recipe in a family cookbook, and it’s been a favorite ever since. Everyone seems to like it, even those who don’t normally care for banana bread.

Moist Banana Bread

all-purpose flour

sugar

vanilla pudding mix

baking soda

salt

cinnamon

eggs, lightly beaten

bananas (4 to 5 medium)

canola oil

vanilla extract

nuts,

Honestly just replace the vanilla pudding with banana pudding. It's so much better. But this recipe is to die for! I add chocolate chips, too. :)

This is the best banana bread recipe i have ever made..the secret ingredient is the vanilla pudding..you cant go wrong with this one..i sometimes use the mini loaf pans and give them as gifts..well if my family doesn't eat them all first..

Have tried many banana breads but this is one of the best.  Would recommend this to anyone. A winner for sure! Adding pudding does keep it moist. We love cinnamon so added additional to top. This is the best banana bread recipe ever. Cut the recipe in half using 3 eggs. Used sugar free french vanilla pudding mix as that was all I had. Another recipe had nilla wafers in the bread. I didn't do that but I did crush about 12 cookies and added a little brown sugar and melted butter. That went on top before baking. Baked in my convection oven at 325 for 50 minutes. So moist inside yet crunchy with the topping. Wonderful recipe.

Probably the most moist banana bread I've ever made! Next time instead of using bananas I'm going to try apples. Been looking for a good Jewish apple cake recipe and the batter in this recipe is definitely the right texture.

This recipe is so good, it's the only one I will ever use. The only thing I changed was I use banana pudding instead of vanilla.I was given a case of bananas from our church and made countless loaves of this bread. The first several loaves were eaten as fast as I could get them out of the oven (college aged boys in the house) the rest we gave away or froze. This freezes beautifully and when thawed still tastes just like fresh!!!

Hands down the best banana bread recipe ever!  My family LOVES it.  It's light and moist; not so heavy or dry like some recipes.  Even my kids who normally don't like banana bread will eat banana bread with this recipe!

I have made this recipe quite a few times. Try substituting strawberry creme or pumpkin spice instant puddings for the vanilla pudding. Tastes like strawberrys and banana or pumpkin bread. Thanks very much for sharing. It's my go to recipe for old bananas!

This banana bread was a hit! Growing up my mom always made banana bread loaves so they have a special nostalgic value to me. I looked online thru many recipes but I opted to go with Taste of Homes and I am extremely happy I did. It was moist and fluffy and delicious. I made the batter in a cupcake tin and 2 mini loaves. It actually took the cupcakes only 24 min to bake and the mini loaves about 35 on 350. Thanks again TOH!

One of the very best banana breads ever.  I made exactly as recipe states but added walnuts as suggested and it was very moist.  I did make one large loaf and 4 mini (5X3) loaves.  It's such a simple recipe--you don't even need to use the mixer.  I see no reason that you couldn't half the recipe if you didn't have enough bananas.   If I was making half a recipe I'd use 3 eggs and maybe increase the bananas some.

I like to bake and got a request from a friend to make chocolate chip banana bread. I found this recipe and just added the semi sweet chips. Now I can't get a moments peace with my phone going off for this amazing bread! Even my son who does not like anything banana loves this bread. It is a keeper!

Wonderful flavor just as is, but for the fall I step it up a notch, by replacing the vanilla instantwith pumpkin spice instant pudding (most markets only carry this in the fall in SoCal).  Wow, now the best Pumpkin Banana Bread ever!

This is, by far the best banana bread recipe I have ever tried...and in my husband's words, "This is the most moist, and best banana bread I've ever had!"  This one is definitely a keeper!!!!

I did not have two pkgs of pudding, so I used one large pkg. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly as written. My husband says it is a keeper! Delicious!
