Monkey Bread

(3-1/2 ounces) cook-and-serve butterscotch pudding mix

sugar

cinnamon

pecans,

butter, melted

tubes (10 ounces each) refrigerated biscuits

This is a very good recipe. We enjoyed the twist of the butterscotch pudding in the mix. The one complaint is that the bake time was much longer about 25 minutes to make sure it was cooked all the way through. That is one complaint about newer recipes fro TOH is the cook times being way off. I know it’s not my oven because all the other recipes still work. I think better field testing may be in order because I like have an accurate cook time range. Other than that this is a good recipe.

I use frozen sweet roll loaves for monkey bread since none of my family likes the "chemical" taste of tube biscuits.  I let the dough thaw for 20-30 minutes then slice and quarter the slices.  This bread became a holiday tradition nearly 30 years ago and most Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, birthdays begin with scrambled eggs and monkey bread.

I have a bread maker so I like to experiment with dough (so I didn't use the refrigerated biscuits) and it turned out great!! I will make this one again for sure!! :)

It is simple and easy...better than most Monkey Breads that i have tasted. Kids LOVE IT!!! How can you go wrong.

I make this using frozen yeast dinner rolls. I put all the ingredients except the pudding abnormal butter in the bottom of a greased bundt pan, adding the frozen rolls last.  Then sprinkle the pudding over the rolls, then pour the butter over everything. Cover and let sit overnight. Bake as directed in the above recipe.

This monkey bread is fabulous and easy to make.  I used a 10 inch bundt pan and it turned out great!  When I make it again I won't wait the 30 minutes to flip.  Most of the yummy stuff was left in the pan.

do you fix it the same way with frozen dinner rolls? Have to defrost and let raise first,I'm sure.
