Step 1
Heat the oil in a large shallow saucepan over high heat. Add the chicken and cook, turning occasionally, for 6-8 minutes or until light golden. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, for 3-4 minutes or until begins to soften.
Step 2
Add the ginger, garlic, chilli, ground coriander, cumin, salt and turmeric. Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until aromatic. Add the tomatoes and tomato paste. Stir until well combined.
Step 3
Bring to the boil then reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, for 25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Stir in the garam masala and yoghurt. Cook until heated through.
Step 4
Top with fresh coriander and serve with rice.
