Step 1
Place beef and pork in a large bowl and mix with your fingers to break up any lumps. Add onion, garlic, breadcrumbs and egg. Mix. Add milk and season.

Shape mixture into small balls. Place on a clean plate, cover and place in the fridge for 2 hours to chill. (This will help them hold their shape while cooking.)
Step 3
Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan forced. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. When hot, gently add meatballs and brown on all sides.
Step 4
Transfer meatballs to an ovenproof and cover. Bake for 30 minutes.
Step 5
To make the cream sauce, melt butter in a saucepan. Add flour and cook, whisking, for 2 minutes. Pour in vegetable and beef stock. Stir to combine. Add cream, soy sauce and Dijon. Bring to the boil then simmer until sauce thickens.
Step 6
Serve meatballs with potatoes and sauce.
