Step 1
Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the cake mix package. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Crush the Oreos.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the cake mix with the ingredients listed on the box, the sour cream, extra egg, and vanilla. Mix until smooth, then add half of the crushed Oreos.
Step 3
Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove the cake from the oven, let cool for 10 minutes, then poke holes evenly over the surface.
Step 4
While the cake bakes, combine the pudding mixes and milk until smooth. Cover and chill until ready to use.
Step 5
When the cake is baked and cooled (but still warm), pour the pudding over the top. Use a spatula to spread evenly then gently tap the dish on the counter to help it settle. Set aside to cool, then cover and chill for 2 hours (or overnight).
Step 6
Immediately before serving, spread the whipped topping evenly over the top. Then, sprinkle the remaining Oreos on top of that. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
