To make the peanut butter layer place the almond milk, peanut butter and maple syrup in a blender and blend until smooth.

Step 2

Transfer the peanut butter mixture to a bowl.

Step 3

Whisk in the chia seeds and set aside.

Step 4

To make the chocolate layer place the almond milk, cacao powder, peanut butter and maple syrup in the blender and blend until smooth.

Step 5

Transfer the chocolate layer mixture to another bowl.

Step 6

Whisk in the chia seeds.

Step 7

Refrigerate both mixtures for 30 minutes and then whisk.

Step 8

Cover both mixture and refrigerate overnight until thickened.

Step 9

Stir each mixture well before serving and then layered into cups or jars.

Step 10

Top with chocolate shavings and chopped peanuts (if using) and serve.
