Ingredients: 8 ounces of bacon, chopped; 10 ounces short pasta (penne, ziti, etc); 1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) butter at room temperature; 1 cup sour cream at room temperature; 4 scallions, chopped (or an equal amount of parsley); 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Pasta with Sour Cream Sauce

bacon,

short pasta (penne, ziti, etc)

(4 tablespoons) butter

sour cream

poppy seeds

Cook your bacon until it is nice and crispy and set aside.

Cook pasta according to package directions and drain. Return to the hot pasta pot.

Put the pot on the lowest heat setting on your stove and stir in butter and sour cream. Stir until both are melted and combined into the pasta.

Stir in scallions, poppy seeds and cooked bacon.

This came out so tasty! The sauce is nice and light and the poppy seeds bring pop the flavors perfectly. Loved it!!

I was hopeful because this recipe used ingredients that I already had at home and was trying to use up. However, I found the ingredients really not to do anything special and not blend well together so I was disappointed
