Peach Cobbler

butter, melted

(15-1/4 ounces) sliced peaches, drained

sugar, divided

all-purpose flour

baking powder

salt

2% milk

Whipped cream, optional

This is not a peach cobbler recipe. This is peach CAKE. I made it and turned out cake-like and spongey. Look elsewhere if you want a peach cobbler recipe.

Great recipe followed it to the T but I used a cast iron skillet to cook it!! Turned out great.

Im now making this for the 3rd time this time adding blueberries to the peaches. Great desert not too sweet easy to make, great for any occasion.

I thought this was great! I sprinkled some brown sugar in with peaches while cooking. I also added some cinnamon and just a sprinkle of nutmeg into batter mixture. It was very good. I used fresh peaches though.

Very good cakey cobbler. Made according to recipe but thought it was a bit too sweet so next time will cut back on sugar. Also think this would be better if you doubled the amount of peaches called for in recipe otherwise it's basically mostly cake.

This recipe is quick and easy to prepare. The cobbler topping has just the right amount of sweetness and is tender. After reading some other reviews, I decided to add less baking powder so that it would not be so cakey. I added about 1/2 teaspoon less and I still thought it was cake like. Still delicious, though! I also think that this recipe needs more peaches. Next time I will add more peaches.

I made the peach cobbler and I had to add the cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla flavoring, real peaches and a 1/2 tsp. of lemon. That's the taste I am use to. This one is good but not sweet enough for me.

I have searched for a very long time for a peach cobbler that uses canned peaches. Fresh are usually very expensive around here and I wanted to find a recipe that would be very simple. This cobbler is fantastic. It is sweet but not overly sweet. It bakes very moist and is very easy to make. Definitely a keeper for our family. :)

My husband loved it, me, not so much. I did add another can of peaches, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg too. I guess I like mine less like cake. It was good but just not what I was looking for.
