Step 1

Make a batch of our classic pierogi (pelmeni) dough.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients for the filling until well incorporated.

Step 3

Cover and set aside until ready for use.

Step 4

To shape with mold, roll out enough dough to cover mold.

Step 5

Fill holes with meat.

Step 6

Roll out another dough and cover the meat.

Step 7

With a rolling pin, roll over the top of mold until edges of the molds protrude.

Step 8

Gently push out pelmeni.

Step 9

Add enough water to completely cover pelmeni once added.

Step 10

Bring water to a boil and season.

Step 11

Cook 2-3 minutes once the pelmeni float to the top.

Step 12

Serve the meat dumplings with sour cream.
