For my daughter's 17th birthday, she asked for loaded Brussel sprouts, tater tots and pigs in a blanket with cheap hotdogs LOL.  Well, I had never made pigs in a blanket before, and this was the exact recipe she was referring to.  This was so simple, tasted great, and satisfied her 17 year old craving.  We will make them again. I did omit the caraway seeds.

The caraway seeds put an adult spin on a childhood classic. I only wished I used more.  Dipped in spicey mustard makes a quick fun meal.

I use sausage and sliced Colby jack cheese My husband loves them and we fight over the last one left haha But this pregnant momma always wins

Really good and easy. I made these as directed and my family really enjoyed. I can see that these would be versatile. I’m going to try with brats and saurerkraut with thousand island dip... my family would also like these with cheese dogs.  I doubled the recipe and cooked for 20 minutes rotating dogs half way through. We dipped in ketchup and mustard and served with fries and grapes. Quick, easy and delicious.

These are really good. I used to make something similar for parties: But I’m an evil chef. So I’d take cocktail wieners and wrap them in sliced crescent rolls, puffed pastry or  dunk them into a batter and then into my Vollrath deep fryer. You can do the same with the full sized hot dogs. They’re epic!

So easy and quick!  I switched up the toppings and used a variety of herbs and spices on top of the egg wash instead of the caraway. They were a hit!  In fact, I think the next time I make crescent rolls, I'll use the egg wash and herbs idea.

I dont think this could get any easier to prepare. A good weeknight comfort food that the whole family loves!
