This was pretty easy to make and quite tasty. Love finding recipes that only make 8x8 or 9x9 instead of always 9x13. We enjoyed!

I made this with gluten free corn flakes and it turned out amazing. I followed the recipe to a T; however, please note that you shouldn't hard pack the crust - mine turned cement hard. That was a few days ago (Easter). Since 8X8 isn't much (we had company), I've been "compelled" by my son/husband to make another one, just for us. No pineapple, so I'll use ripe bananas to line the crust, followed by pudding mixture and finished by cool whip. I also mixed about 1 tsp of vanilla sugar with the sugar added to the corn flakes crust. I have no doubt this will be amazing. I also think there are numerous variations to this desert, e.g. chocolate ice cream with chocolate pudding plus whatever fruit - strawberries, raspberries, anything that goes with chocolate. This is a keeper.

Love this light and refreshing dessert!  Only thing I deviated from in the recipe was the corn flakes.  I used Honey Bunches of Oats with almonds because that’s what I had on hand.  It was Great and I would use it again.  Will be making this again and passing it on to everyone who ate it and asked for recipe.  Yummm!

Made this yesterday for Mother's Day and it was a hit! I used the plain Honey Bunches of Oats. Very good! First time I used softened ice cream in a recipe. Much easier than I thought it would be.

My husband and I loved this, I will definitely make it again and the recipe is a keeper. We ate it with cool whip, ice cream, plain, and it was delicious every time, tasted very light and the whole the thing was gone in under 24 hours. I did use honey bunches of oats cereal because that's what I had on hand and I only used 1 tablespoon of sugar for the crust, and I used a 20 oz can of crushed pineapple in unsweetened juice. I measured out my ice cream at the start and just put it in the refrigerator and by the time I was ready for it was softened. My crust was crunchy and a little hard to get out but I think I didn't grease my pan enough, doesn't matter, it was so good. I think this recipe is the kind you can make small changes and it's still yummy. (Next time I'm going to increase the ingredients so I make more!)

I had trouble getting the right consistency of the crushed pineapple topping. The 2 tablespons of cornstarch made the pineapple taste and look like paste. After many additions of other canned fruit liquid, jelly, and mandarin oranges I had something that was ok. My company liked the result. Whipped cream also helped hide the color of the topping. Next time I would buy an extra can of pineapple or use some canned pineapple juice. Also, I used frosted flakes for the crust. Rave reviews for that. I'll do that again. Despite the trouble I would make it again. The pudding and ice cream mixture is genius.

That looks like far more than two tablespoons of sugar in that video and if you look closely at that video when she pours the buttered cornflake mixture into that 8x8 dish it will only cover the bottom of the dish maybe 1/8 of an inch,inotherwords it aint enough. Very deceiving video,from what the first part looks like when she serves a piece on the plate

This recipe was very good..Rich, with a bit of a tang..I used Curves for the crust..(Honey coated corn flakes).  Very good and easy to make.

This is super easy, quick and tastes great.  Will definitely make again.
