Step 1

Step 1 Count the pineapple slices (you'll cut the pastry according to their number) and place over some napkins or kitchen towel to absorb the liquid.

Step 2

Step 2 Because I had 12 slices of pineapple, I cut the pastry sheet into 12 equal squares. It's important to cut a square for each slice of pineapple, about the same size as the diameter of the pineapple. Place a pineapple slice over each square.

Step 3

Step 3 Make another cut around the corners of each square, without cutting the middle part - see the picture. You'll be able to figure it better by looking at the next pictures as well.

Step 4

Step 4 Then lift up the outer corner towards the middle of the pineapple.

Step 5

Step 5 Do the same with the opposite corner, bring it to the middle and glue the two corners together.

Step 6

Step 6 Repeat the procedure for the other corners. Stick them together well with your finger. Here is your first pineapple flower :)

Step 7

Step 7 Repeat the procedure for all the squares. Arrange on a sheet brushed with a little oil and place in the oven at 180-200 degrees C - which is average temperature.

Step 8

Step 8 Bake until nicely browned. Remove from the oven and let cool a little.

Step 9

Step 9 Sprinkle over with powdered sugar to sweeten them and to look good - and they are ready to be served.Enjoy!
