Step 1

Preheat the oven to 450°F.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the baking mix and buttermilk. Stir until just blended.

Step 3

Flour a board and place the biscuit dough on the board. Gently pat out the dough to about 1/2 inch and use a 2-inch biscuit cutter to cut about 8 biscuits.

Step 4

Brush a baking sheet with 2 1/2 tablespoons of melted butter. Place the biscuits on baking sheet and bake until golden brown, about 12 to 14 minutes.

Step 5

Remove the biscuits from the oven and brush with the remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons of melted butter.
