Pumpkin Pie Pudding

(15 ounces) pumpkin

(12 ounces) evaporated milk

sugar

biscuit/baking mix

eggs,

butter, melted

pumpkin pie spice

vanilla extract

whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

I made this for Thanksgiving and got raves over this recipe. I love that it is made in the crockpot, so you can whip up the ingredients dump it in and walk off and focus on other things. I was wondering if you could double the recipe. Would you have to extend the cooking time?

My husband called it the best desert ever.  One daughter said she needed a smaller portion because it was good but rich... and it was super simple to make.   I call it a winner.!!!  Do keep an eye on it as it only took about 4 hours in my crock pot.

I made this pudding for the first time this Thanksgiving.  My oven quit 2 days before Thanksgiving so no pumpkin pie ... then I found this recipe.  It will serve as my pumpkin pie every year from now on!!!!  The convenience of mix, pouring it into a slow cooker and walking away is outstanding!!!

This is absolutely delicious!  I love pumpkin pie, but sometimes not the crust.  This solves the problem.  I ate it hot and room temperature; works both ways.  I will add this to my thanksgiving table.

This was excellent. Mine turned out a little different, however, because it was overcooked. I checked it at the 6 hour point and it was 200 degrees. Next time will check at 5 hour mark.  Mine turned out more like a cheesecake or crust less pumpkin pie. When cooled I flopped it on a plate  like a cake. I sliced it rather than scooped because of the texture. All crock pots are different so I suggest that if you want the pudding texture check sooner than recommended time. If you prefer the cake like texture cook longer. Either way this recipe is very good!

My husband loved this!  It tastes like pumpkin pie without the crust.  And it's so easy to make.  It's great hot or cold.

Wonderful recipe!  Made it for Sunday breakfast when one of our daughters & her fianc? were visiting us.  They loved it & suggested we have it for Thanksgiving instead of pumpkin pie!  Planning to do so.  Served it with real whipped cream & sausage links & orange juice.  Also, I didn't have pumpkin pie spice (don't like it) so substituted 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. ginger, & 1/2 tsp. nutmeg.  Worked great!  Thanks for sharing this terrific recipe!  It will be used often in our house!

My mom and her caregiver love this dessert.  I don't make this in a slow cooker.  I spray a 3 qt. baking dish and bake till a knife inserted comes out clean.  This is one of our favorites.

My husband I love pumpkin desserts. This was super yummy!! One doesn't have to have a very large serving to be satisfied.

SD20, you could try to spice this up by adding cinnamon, and nutmeg.. solid pumpkin is bland.. I have had that prob with pie recipes.. I thought this would be spicy since using the pie spice.. but it needs some extra spice according to individual taste..

Excellent, I just made this twice in a week...yeah, we love our pumpkin pie and this is the best.  I had some hot out of the crock, which was very good....scoop it out and chill it...a day or two later it gets more blended & yummy as it sits.  My husband doesn't like his desserts "too sweet" & this falls into that category..which means this is a winner in my house.  I will be making this for the thanksgiving holiday...or for anytime.  It is full of flavor and I won't be changing a thing except for the time, my 5 quart took exactly 5 hours on low.  I love making desserts in a crockpot on a busy holiday, but I will be making this ahead and chilling it while I do my prep work before the holiday.  This is easy-it literally takes 3 minutes to whip up, it's inexpensive, almost zero clean up & I have most everything on hand.  Pumpkin all the things...but don't forget the whipped cream!

I made this for my husband & me for an early fall dessert!  Now, he wants me to make it ALL the time!!  A big dollop of Reddi  Whip just tops it off perfectly!

This recipe is wonderful! I usually sprinkle either shortbread cookies or biscotti over each serving. Very good!

I took this to the high school where I work and got RAVE reviews from everyone. I only cooked it for 5 hours instead of 6. This will be my contribution for Thanksgiving dinner at my nephew's.

This is easy and soooooo delicious. It's light and fluffy almost like a mousse.

I use this recipe all the time.  Love to make it fresh on thanksgiving as my kids don't like the crust on regular pumpkin pies.  This is a recipe I also share and have not heard of one person that tried it that didn't like it.
