Step 1

Cook beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes. Continue cooking, breaking up large pieces, until beef reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees; drain. Return beef to heat.

Stir in water and taco seasoning mix; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 3 to 4 minutes, or until thickened.

Step 3

Divide mixture between taco shells. Top with desired toppings, such as cheese, lettuce, avocado, pico de gallo, taco sauce, and crema.
