Ingredients: 1 package (6 ounces) cherry gelatin; 1-1/2 cups boiling water; 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, undrained; 1 can (14 ounces) whole-berry cranberry sauce; 1-1/2 cups seedless red grapes, halved; 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Since this tangy salad keeps well, I make it a day ahead for my Christmas menu. It's also a great choice to take to a holiday potluck - even people who aren't fond of cranberries think it's yummy. I got the recipe from a friend at church who likes to cook and bake as much as I do.

Great recipe. I substituted mandarin oranges for the grapes. I might add another can of whole cranberries next time, as it was a bit too loose for my taste. Very delicious and an absolute hit at Thanksgiving.

I made this salad for Thanksgiving and it was the star side dish!!! It's very easy to make. Instead of the grapes I substituted a large can of mandarin oranges, drained, 1/2 cup of chopped celery and the zest of an orange! Wow so easy and fresh! Thank you for a no fuss side for any meal!

I absolutely love this stuff! I used sugar free jello and added a chopped apple.

Yummy tradition that's also easy!  Btw, I omit the grapes and add chopped celery.  I know it sounds weird, but it takes it to that next level, trust me!  I do 2-4 stalks depending if I double the recipe or not, just stir it in with everything else.  I also prefer walnuts to pecans, that's really a preference thing.

This was awesome! The store was out of cherry jelli so I used strawberry instead. Also I used Dole pineapple tidbits instead of crushed and a can of fruit cocktail instead of grapes. The cranberry sauce gives it the perfect amount of tang and I have already bought ingredients for another one for a low-fat treat at home.

ALL of my family loves this - and that’s a miracle.  It was easy and delicious. I made it for Christmas Day and everyone said “save that recipe!”   Thanks!

I LOVE this recipe & I've made this recipe a # of times-only without the red grapes!  I also put the cranberry jello mixture in a 6-cup mold and chilled it overnight!  I had to make this salad for a chapel function held today and I know it will go over well!  I did add the grapes this time!  Also:  I used less PINEAPPLEthan the 20 oz. full can-I measured out 1-3/4 cups crushed pineapple and it worked very well for me!  I also just chilled the entire mixture overnight instead of letting the jello sit 1/2 hour in refridge!  Dawn E. Lowenstein

OMG!!!  this is excellent. Make it year round with or without grapes.

This has become a Thanksgiving tradition.  Everybody loves it!  I make this instead of cranberry sauce.  I omit the pecans but no one misses them.  The best cranberry salad EVER!

A nice change of pace for the Thanksgiving table.  I omit the grapes and pecans, but it's still good.

Love this recipe, but I don't know how the publisher can say "0 sugar."  The pineapple alone has about 22 g of sugar and the canned cranberries has another 20 g.  I made my own cranberries with fresh cranberries and Stevia, plus I used sugar free Jello to try and reduce some of the sugar and it still turned out great.  Anyway, I would have given this a 5-star rating, but because of the sugar, I reduced it to 4 stars.

Made this a couple of years ago for thanksgivings. Got good reviews on it. Glad i found it again.Will call it a keeper.

Made this for Easter dinner & it was so yummy!  Had lost my favorite jello salad recipe with bing cherries, but this is an excellent replacement. Wouldn't change a thing!
