Step 1
Set the ramen seasoning packages aside for later.
Step 2
Boil the ramen noodles until al dente (usually about 2-3 minutes depending on brand of ramen). Drain the noodles and set aside.
Step 3
Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the 2 Tablespoons of oil then add the diced or sliced onion and garlic. Cook until softened.
Step 4
Increase heat to high and add beef. Sear the beef to brown on both sides (doesn't need to be cooked through yet - it will finish cooking with the broccoli).
Step 5
Add broccoli and cook for a few minutes or until the broccoli is cooked to your desired tenderness.
Step 6
Add cooked noodles, the seasonings from the ramen packets, 1/4 cup of water, and 1 teaspoon of optional sesame oil. Stir the noodles with everything in the pan and cook for another minute or until noodles are heated through.
Step 7
Taste for seasonings. If you want more seasoning, add soy sauce, salt, or other preferred seasoning. Serve warm top with cilantro if desired.
