Step 1

Heat oil in a saucepan, sauté onion, garlic and mushrooms.

Step 2

Add mince and cooked until browned. Add red wine and cook through for a minute or so.

Step 3

Stir in tomato paste, tomatoes and pasta sauce and bring to the boil.

Step 4

Reduce heat and add sugar, salt, pepper and Italian herbs. Simmer on low for 15 minutes.

Step 5

Serve with the pasta of choice and grated Parmesan if desired.
