Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Line a 11x17-inch pan with foil.

In a saucepan over medium heat, add the butter and the brown sugar and bring the mixture to a boil.

Let the mixture boil for 3 minutes without stirring.

Place the crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Very carefully pour the brown sugar mixture over the crackers.

Bake until the mixture is bubbly, about 4-5 minutes.

Allow the toffee to rest for 1 minute.

Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the toffee and let it sit until the chocolate softens, about 4-5 minutes.
