Step 1

Cut about 1/4 inch of rind off the bottom of your watermelon and discard, so it can easily stand on its own. Then cut about 2 inches off the top of your watermelon, exposing the juicy pink flesh.

Step 2

Stand the watermelon upright, and use a large spoon to carve a hole in the center of the pink flesh, leaving about an inch or two of flesh around the outside (see pictures above).

Step 3

Scoop out the innards of the watermelon in the hole you made, and set them aside to enjoy later.

Step 4

Core a hole about 3 inches from the bottom of the watermelon and insert and secure your faucet.

Step 5

Add you vodka, wine, and simple syrup to the hole in your watermelon.

Step 6

Wash your lemon and lime, cut them in half, squeeze the juice into the hole in your watermelon, and then drop the peel and pulp in, too.

Step 7

Replace the top of the watermelon and allow to sit for about 10 minutes, to allow the watermelon flavor to seep in.

Step 8

Enjoy over ice!
