Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F. Quarter biscuits; spread on a large baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden. Cool on baking sheet on a wire rack. Butter a 3-qt. rectangular baking dish. Place half of the biscuit pieces in prepared baking dish. Top with sausage and half of the cheese. Top with remaining biscuit pieces.
Step 2
In a large bowl whisk together eggs, milk, dry mustard, salt, and pepper. Pour egg mixture over layers in dish. Using the back of a spoon, gently press down on layers. Top with remaining cheese. Cover and chill overnight.
Step 3
Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake, uncovered, 50 minutes or until golden and egg mixture is set, covering with foil the last 5 to 10 minutes if necessary to prevent overbrowning. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
