Ingredients: 1 pound smoked sausage (can use Polish sausage, turkey sausage, Andouille sausage); 4 cups frozen green beans or fresh green beans or 2 15 ounce cans; 1 14.5 ounce can beef broth; 2 cups water; 3 to 4 large potatoes (peeled or unpeeled and cut up (can use russet or red potatoes)); 1 large onion (peeled and cut in rings); 1 teaspoon minced garlic; 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste; 1/2 teaspoon black pepper; 2 teaspoons bacon drippings (Optional)

Step 1

Combine all ingredients and place in 3 quart crock pot or a pan on top of the stove. Cook in crock pot on low for 5 to 6 hours or high for 4 hours or until the potatoes are done.

Step 2

Cook on stove top until potatoes are done about 45 minutes to an hour. Makes 6 to 8 servings. Enjoy!
