Season the pork with salt and pepper. Cut slits into the pork on all sides and insert the garlic slivers into the slits. Place half of the sliced onion in the bottom of the crock pot. Place the pork loin on top and add the remaining onions. Add the bay leaves, clove, water, and soy sauce to the crockpot. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender. Remove the pork from the crock pot and slice. Discard the onions and seasonings in the crock pot or strain the liquid and thicken with cornstarch to make a gravy.s)
