Step 1

Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the ghee and fry the dry bread on both sides until golden brown. Set aside.

Step 2

Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Let it reduce to half the amount. Add the first amount of sugar, ground cardamon, and saffron. Heat until the sugar has melted. Set aside and keep warm.

Step 3

In another saucepan, heat the second amount fo sugar and water over medium heat. Heat until the sugar has dissolved.

Step 4

Dip the toasted bread in the sugar syrup and place on your serving plate. Pour the warm milk over the bread and top with chopped pistachios.
