Step 1

Preheat oven to 150C. Sift dry ingredients together. Add softened butter and mix together with hands until well blended.

Step 2

Sprinkle some flour on a chopping board and flatten dough with hands until approximately 1cm thick.

Step 3

Cut dough with cookie cutters and place biscuits on a tray. Place a glazed cherry in the middle of each biscuit and bake in the oven for 35 minutes.

Step 4

Cool on tray for 10 minutes then place on wire rack until cold to touch.
