Step 1
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Step 2
Add garlic, onion, chicken, vegetables, 1 Tbsp flour and seasonings.
Step 3
Saute over medium high heat for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Add broth and 1 cup milk and bring to a boil.
Step 5
Meanwhile, combine 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup milk, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 egg and 1/2 tsp salt in a bowl and stir until just combined.
Step 6
Drop by rounded tablespoons into simmering chicken mixture. (You should get 12-14 dumplings)
Step 7
Reduce heat to simmer, cover skillet and let simmer for 10-15 minutes or until dumplings are cooked through.
Step 8
Taste, adjust seasonings as desired and serve.
