Export 3 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Peel the apples with a vegetable peeler. Quarter them through the stem, then cut out the cores. Dice the apples into 1- to 2-inch pieces.
Step 2
Place the apples in a slow cooker and then add the water, cinnamon, lemon juice, and salt. Stir all the ingredients well to combine.
Step 3
Cook on the high setting for 4 hours.
Step 4
Using an immersion blender, puree the applesauce until it gets a very smooth texture. However, if you like chunky applesauce you can skip this step.
Step 5
Let the applesauce cool to room temperature, serve and enjoy!
Step 6
Store in airtight containers (I prefer to use glass containers) in the refrigerator for up to 7 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
