Using a vegetable peeler, peel the skin off one orange, being careful not to take too much of the white pith with the skin; slice orange in half to juice

If making in slow cooker: Add all ingredients to the slow cooker and set it on high for 2 hours

If hosting a holiday party, make a double or triple batch in your slow cooker and keep it warm on the warming setting all night! If making on stovetop: Pour wine into a medium pot over medium heat

Add the orange peel to the wine, squeeze in the juice, then add the squeezed orange to the pot along with the cinnamon stick, apple cider, and honey
Step 5
Stir to combine and heat for 45-60 minutes until the flavors combine, making sure it never comes to a boil
Step 6
To serve, carefully strain out the orange peel, orange, and cinnamon stick
Step 7
Slice the remaining orange into thin slices and pour wine into mugs, garnished with an orange slice
