Step 1
Preheat air fryer to 350F.

*You can alternatively make these in the oven! Preheat oven to 375F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
Step 3
In a large bowl, add all of the ingredients, except the melted butter. Mix until well combined. The dough is going to be a little sticky, but just trust the process!
Step 4
Lay the dough on a generously floured surface. Sprinkle some more flour on top of the dough. Use your hands to knead a couple of times, until the dough becomes smooth. If the dough still seems too sticky, add 1 more tbsp of flour at a time, and continue to knead until it comes together more!
Step 5
Roll the dough out to 3/4” thickness. Using a cookie cutter, mason jar lid, or cup, create circles by pushing down into the dough. Then using a smaller round cutter, pop the inner circle hole out of each to create the donut shape.
Step 6
Place a piece of parchment paper in the basket of your air fryer. Working in batches, transfer the donuts to the air fryer.
Step 7
If using the oven, transfer the donuts to the prepared baking sheet.
Step 8
Brush the tops with melted butter.
Step 9
For the air fryer, air fry at 350F for 4 minutes, gently flip and air fry for another 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown.
Step 10
For the oven, bake at 375F for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.
Step 11
Remove from the air fryer or oven, and immediately toss in granulated sugar to coat. Serve warm.
